Hajdúszoboszló is a small town located in the heart of The Big Hungarian Lowland. It is a wonderful health and holiday resort. It is 200 km from Budapest, 100 km from Tokaj and about 20 km from Debrecen. Hajdúszoboszló has nearly 25 thousand citizens. The town of Hajdúszoboszló is famous for curative water, which is bottled on the premises of the baths from 1994 and sold under the name Pavai Vajna (earlier as Hajdú). It is good for health becasue it contains boron, fluorine, iodine and other minelral elements. It is also used for bathing in the numerous reserts ans pool in Hajdúszoboszló. Because of its property to heal wounds and soothe rheumatic pains the town is sometimes called „The mekka of rheumatics”. And because of high saturation of air with iodine and mineral compounds the stay in this town is thought to be curative. Baths are expanded and modernized all the time in order to satisfy even the most demanding tourists. Hajdúszoboszló is located in the sunniest part of Hungary, thanks to what we can expect a very good weather during most of the year – the average insolation of this region sometimes exceeds two thound of hours! In winter the temperature hardly ever falls down below zero and in summer you can expect even 3 months with the average temperature of 25 degrees Celsius. In summer there are food fairs on the close airport and in the city there are concerts, festivals and art exibitions. Yuo can also visit one of the numerous cafes, bars or restaurants. Almost all citizens of Hajdúszoboszló can speak Polish more or less, what also is a great facilitation for Polish tourists. In order not to overlook any local attractions it is worth to plan the stay for a weeke or two.
